Connect Gmail

Connect, sync, reconnect, backfill, or disconnect a Gmail or Google Workspace mailbox in Repliqo.

Connect an existing Gmail or Google Workspace mailbox to use it as a Repliqo workspace inbox without changing DNS.

Path: Settings → Connected accounts → Google

Permissions

Only workspace owners and admins can connect, reconnect, backfill, or disconnect Gmail. Members with inbox access can still work its conversations.

Before you connect

  • Sign in to the Google account that owns the mailbox you want to share.
  • Confirm you are in the correct Repliqo workspace.
  • If your organization restricts third-party OAuth apps, a Google Workspace admin may need to approve Repliqo.

Connect the mailbox

  1. Open Settings → Connected accounts → Google.
  2. Select Connect Gmail.
  3. Choose the correct Google account.
  4. Review and approve the requested access.
  5. Return to Repliqo and wait for the connection status to become Connected.

Repliqo creates a workspace inbox for the mailbox and starts syncing mail. Replies and new messages send from the connected Gmail address.

Import older mail

Use Run backfill on the connected account when you want Repliqo to queue a historical import. Backfill runs separately from ongoing sync, so new messages can continue arriving while older conversations are imported.

Maintain the connection

  • Refresh access repeats Google authorization without removing the inbox.
  • Reconnect Gmail appears when Google authorization has expired or been revoked.
  • If Repliqo says archive and trash cannot stay in sync, reconnect and approve the current mailbox-modify permission.
  • Check Last sync and any displayed error before retrying a connection.

Disconnect Gmail

Select Disconnect on the connected account and confirm. Imported conversations remain in Repliqo, but new sync and sending stop until the mailbox is reconnected.

Success looks like

  • The account shows Connected and a recent Last sync time.
  • Its inbox appears in the Repliqo sidebar.
  • New mail arrives and replies send from the Gmail address.

Common problems

  • Wrong Google account opened: sign out of the unwanted Google session or choose a different account during authorization, then restart the connection.
  • Reconnect required: select Reconnect Gmail and complete the entire Google flow.
  • Sync error: read the connection's error message first; then use Refresh access if it indicates authorization trouble.
  • Member cannot find the inbox: update their access under Settings → Team.
